Criminal law is the field in which the advocate earned his doctorate and which he taught at university. We defend the accused from the first contact with the police and represent victims seeking redress.

In a criminal case every step matters — the interview, a complaint, a motion to take further evidence. We look at the case as a whole from the start: what the prosecution claims, what the file actually proves and which procedural options the defence has.
We help victims file a criminal complaint, claim compensation within the criminal proceedings and make sure their voice is heard.

Questions — criminal law
When do I need a defence lawyer?
As early as possible — ideally before the first interview. In some cases a defence lawyer is mandatory by law, for example when the accused is in custody. Even where it is not, early advice often shapes the whole case.
Can you assist foreign nationals?
Yes. We advise in English and German and explain the Slovak procedure step by step. Where the proceedings require it, an official interpreter is appointed by the authority.
